I don’t actually know who this is.
But from what I’ve heard, he says ‘Crickey’ a lot.Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter. He was an Australian wildlife expert and had his own TV shows, he died 7 years ago, while filming a documentary, when a stingray pierced him through the chest. He left behind his wife and children.
And yeah, ‘Crikey’ is his catchphrase. I loved this guy. RIP
HE DIED 7 YEARS AGO?! How old do I feel…
this makes my heart hurt! and holy shit 7 years already?

A year ago, I met a Polish. he was a football fan. I asked him about Xavi Hernandez, he replied,
“I don’t know him. Who’s he?”
“He’s the midfielder of FCB, you really don’t know about him? He has the thickest eyebrows!” I added with mentioned the eyebrows.
“I really don’t know about him, at all.” He replied.
I closed my laptop then cried on the corner of my room.

I made this graphic because some people like to complain that changing the gender/sex of the characters somehow “ruins” or “desecrates” Arthur Conan Doyle’s legacy. Funnily enough nobody ever complains when they are turned into mice, dogs, etc. (Presumably because they are still male.) As you can see there have been several female versions of these characters in the past, and they have hardly ruined anything.
Some of the oldest adaptations only had the actor info for Holmes on IMDB, so either Watson didn’t exist in those films at all, or the actor is unknown. (If he did exist it’s pretty safe to assume he was male.)
I excluded incarnations where Holmes/Watson only appeared once as guest stars in unrelated tv shows. (There were lots.)
It’s a shame you’re not covering guest appearances. I would’ve loved to see a pair of icons representing his appearance in the 1980s Filmation cartoon BraveStarr, where Dr. Watson was an alien and Sherlock Holmes’ great-great-great-grandniece Mycroft Holmes was a blonde Scotland Yard agent wielding a giant energy cannon. :O
Two questions:
1. What’s the genderbent adaptation where Holmes and Watson are both female?
2. Is the made-for-television movie The Return of Sherlock Holmes included in this list, where Holmes is revealed to have been place in suspended animation and resurrected in the 1980s?OMFG. :D
I would have liked to include guest appearances but there are so many and the info is difficult to find…
1. It’s a Russian movie called My Dearly Beloved Detective. It’s available on Youtube, but sadly without subtitles.
2. Yes that one is included.
P.S. I can’t get over alien!Watson’s moustache. XD
